Q: What is the purpose of registering with YDS?
A: YDS is committed to providing personalized service to recruiters who are interested in gaining greater access to a diverse applicant pool. YDS fosters a pipeline of talented students who are attentive to achieving their goals at an accelerated pace. YDS is partnering students and recruiters with a scenario beneficial to both.

Q: Who has access to the data that I submit?
A: Only YDS administrators and the recruiters who deem your profile to be a good fit in meeting their criteria. 

Q: What happens to the data that I submit?
A: Your data profile will be provided to some of the nation’s top graduate school recruiters and employment recruiters.

Q: Is my data safe?
A: Absolutely! YDS has a company policy to not share your information to third parties without your consent. Your data is protected by the tight security provided by our network provider .

Q: What supporting documentation will I need to complete my data profile?
A: You will need the scores of each standardized test taken, your major grade point average and your overall cumulative grade point average.

Q: What if I need to change something in my profile?
A: Changes / updates to your profile can be made at any time using your password for access.  Remember, never share your password with anyone.  It is for your use only!!

Q: Is this going to cost me anything?
There is no cost to currently enrolled students.  There is a nominal fee for young adults who have graduated and wish to take advantage of theconnection and exposure YDS can provide. 

Q: Can alumni create a profile?
A: Yes! Those who have completed their undergraduate or associate degree and wish to create a profile can do so by obtaining a YDS username for a nominal fee.

 

Q: My friend is not enrolled this term but she will be back next term. Can my friend create a profile?
A: Your friend is welcome to create a profile when she is enrolled next term. A profile is far more attractive to recruiters when it's current.

Q: If I drop out of school after I have submitted my profile, am I automatically dropped from the database?
A: If your information cannot be validated by your school, then YDS is obligated to remove your profile from the database.
